Hi Everyone, In many ways, IELTS is a more favorable test than TOEIC/TOEFL. IELTS focuses more on long-term skill development versus short-term cramming of knowledge.
1. For those who favor the IELTS, could it be used in all situations, specifically: a. College admissions in traditionally TOEFL territory, especially US universities? b. Workplaces that traditionally use TOEIC/TOEFL c. Immigration to countries like the US?
2. Supposing there is a situation that traditionally uses the TOEFL, would writing a letter to the admissions office, and presenting respectable IELTS scores, be enough to use IELTS in substitute of TOEFL?
